9 DAYS KIDEPO & MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

DAY 1

Entebbe Airport to Kampala Green Valley Hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 2

Drive to Jinja
Have an early breakfast and prepare to start your safari to Jinja. Drive through Mabira Forest where you shall stop to pick a couple of fruits to source of the Nile.Have lunch and continue to Mbale for overnight stay Thereafter proceed to Kitgum. Check in at Boma Guest House for dinner and overnight.
*Travel time: 10hrs.

DAY 3

After Breakfast drive to Sipi falls on the beautiful landscape on the slopes of Mount Elgon.This area is known for its stunning panaromas of the Karamoja plains.Continue to Lira for over night sleep and dinner.

DAY 4

Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park and evening Game Drive
After an early cup of tea, Continue with the trip to Kidepo Valley National Park. Get to Kidepo National Park and have lunch. Set off for an exciting game drive for great spectacular views of mountains, valleys and stunning wildlife sightings. You will drive through the Narus valley for sightings of large herds of buffalos, Zebras, giraffes, elephants elands, Oribis, Jacksons heartbeasts and lots of birds. Return back to the lodge to relax and later have dinner and overnight at Kidepo Savannah Lodge.

DAY 5

Game Drives in Kidepo Valley
Start with an early breakfast and then go for a game drive along the trails of Kidepo valley national park. The park inhabits one of the most exciting faunas of any Ugandan parks, Set out for the game drive to Kanangorok Hot Springs for more wildlife sightings and great picture moments. There are lots of interesting features, birds and animals to observe. Expect to sight lions and leopards on rocky outcrops looking for their prey. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and relax. Set off for another adventure, deeper into Kidepo. Expect even more interesting sights on this game drive, just keep your eyes open and your cameras ready. Return later for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6

Visit the karamajong homestead and drive to kitgum.
After an early breakfast, you will drive to a Karamojong village to learn more about their culture, music and dance. Have lunch and check out to proceed to Gulu town. Karamoja has a cattle culture and the Karamojongs are notorious as cattle raiders. Unlike most other Ugandans, many Karamojongs shun western-style clothes and instead wear “traditional” dress of a blanket -like shawl, often in red and black. The women wear elaborate beadwork.

DAY 7

Transfer to murchison falls national park.
Have early breakfast, check out and leave for Murchison Falls National Park. Arrive in Murchison in the early afternoon for lunch and check in at your lodge. Relax and swim at your lodge for the rest of the day.

DAY 8

Game drive and boat trip to the bottom of the falls
Have parked breakfast and set off for the morning game drive as early as 6am for a big chance of catching the nocturnal hunters such as hyenas, Lions, leopards and grazing hippos. Explore the major game trails on the northern side of the Nile for a great wildlife experience. You will see large herds of kobs, oribis, water bucks,buffalos, and Jackson's hartebeests, baboons, Girrafes, elephants and a variety of birds, all in our 5hrs game drive. Return to the lodge to relax and have lunch. Set off for a Boat trip along the Nile to the bottom of the Murchison falls and expect to see lots of hippos, Elephants,buffalos, Nile crocodiles, warthogs, lots of birds and water bucks. Return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight

DAY 9

Hike to the top of the falls and drive back to KampalaOur last day will see us make our way for Kampala via the top of the falls for a 30 minutes hike to the top of the falls and its these falls that the name of the national park is derived. And there after we will proceed to Kampala with an optional stop at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino trekking and have lunch enroute. End of our 9 days adventure. .
